Endowed with a charismatic personality, Pt. Murari Lal Sharma was born on March 01, 1951 in Village – Bahaj (Braj region) in ordinary farmer family. Right from his childhood, he demonstrated interest in local tradition and folk dances of BRAJ region.
He saw Charkula dance for first time in 1967 and he just got attracted towards this spectacular folk dance form and decided to learn this dance form. To learn this dance, he took the formal training from his Guru Ji Late Shri Swami Kanhaiya Lal Sharma.
After taking the Guru’s permission and wishes, Pt. Murari Lal Sharma started his journey to preserve and promote this dying Art of Charkula Folk form around the world and later started Charkula Arts Academy. Since then, he and his group performed and participated in various prestigious National and International events. He is the inspiration behind the promoting Charkula dance & Charkula Arts Academy.

Mr. Sanjay Sharma is artistic Director and choregrapher.Sanjay is having more than 15 years of experience in Indian Arts & cuture. Sanjay has sucessfully choreographed many stage shows in India and other countries.
